The Tecnifibre TFight 300S is a 98 square inch control racquet that weighs 300 grams, which makes it one of the quickest serious control frames we sell. This review tells you who it suits, what separates it from the TFight 305S and the older TFight 300, how it compares with the Wilson Blade 98 and the Babolat Pure Strike 98, and how we string it. The short answer
Buy the TFight 300S if you want a 98 square inch control racquet that is a little lighter and quicker than the usual 305 gram frames. It costs $313.95 unstrung, which is less than its Wilson, Babolat and Yonex rivals. If you hit flat and want maximum control, the 305S is the better TFight. If you want a softer feel, the Wilson Blade 98 v10 is the one to compare it with.

Good for you if
- You are a strong intermediate or advanced player who wants control without a heavy racquet.
- You hit with topspin. The 16x19 pattern and 98 head give good spin for a control frame.
- You play a lot of doubles. At 300 grams and 6 points head light it is quick at the net.
- You like a crisp, direct feel rather than a soft one.
- You want a 98 square inch frame under $320. It is $313.95.
Skip it if
- You are a beginner. A 98 square inch head punishes late contact.
- You hit flat and hard and want the densest control. The 305S with its 18x19 pattern is the better fit.
- You want a flexible, plush feel. The Blade 98 v10 at about 61 RA is softer.
- You want free power. The TFight gives back what you put in.
How it plays

From the baseline. It is a control frame first. The 98 square inch head keeps the ball where you aim it, and the 16x19 pattern gives enough spin to swing freely. The 300 gram weight means you can take a full cut without the racquet feeling slow.
Feel. At about 64 RA it is a little firmer than a Blade and a little softer than a Pure Strike. The response is clean and direct, with less of the flex you feel on a Wilson.
At the net. This is where the lighter weight pays off. It is quick to position and the head light balance makes volleys easy.
Against pace. Five grams lighter than a 305 gram frame is a small difference, but very hard hitters may want the extra mass of the 305S.

TFight 300S or 305S
This is the comparison most people are making. The two racquets share the same head size, beam and stiffness. The 305S adds 5 grams and swaps the string pattern.

Choose the 300S for spin, a quicker swing and the lower price. Choose the 305S if you hit flat, want the ball to come off low and predictable, and do not mind a slightly heavier swing.
TFight 300S or the older TFight 300
The TFight 300 without the S is the previous Isoflex generation. It is still a good racquet, and we still have it, but it is a different frame.

The current 300S has the smaller 98 head and is the more precise racquet. The older TFight 300 has a 100 square inch head, which is a little more forgiving. Most players looking at the TFight today should buy the 300S.

The TFight is the lightest and the cheapest of the three, and it is the quickest to swing. The Blade is the softest and gives the most feel; we have a full Blade 98 v10 review. The Pure Strike is the firmest and flattest. If you are not sure, the TFight 300S is the easiest of the three to live with.
